Do I need to wear eye protection?
Yes!  To make your tanning experience safe and enjoyable you should always wear eye protection. Wearing eye protection while tanning can help to prevent eye problems, such as cataracts, sometimes caused by UV exposure.

There are alternatives to the old-fashioned strap-on goggles. Today many salons offer eye patches that protect the eyes and can be easily removed after you tan.

 Does indoor tanning provide any protection from the sun?
Yes.  Indoor tanning provides some sun protection, so it is very important to continue to use sunscreen when you’re tanning outdoors.

How do I decide on a tanning method?
It all depends on your personal preference. If you don’t mind standing for times up to 12 minutes, you may do better with a booth. A booth can provide an even tan, and your body won’t be touching the glass or tanning bulbs that you may come in contact with when using a bed.

You may feel more relaxed, however, in a bed. You can use the time to close your eyes and even get a few minutes sleep! Also, some people find the warmth of the bulbs soothing.
